Re: What is your favourite book?

I guess I'd say Katharine Kerr's Snare . It's fairly obscure, even for her, but I love it and would really recommend it if you're interested in sci-fi fantasy with shockingly great female and poc characters. Maybe if I reread it I could find some things questionable about it, but I really just build...

Re: Legitimate Faith vs Wacky Cult

My approach is simple, really. Do not care about people's beliefs, just care about their actions. No one's beliefs have any effect on me at all. Only their actions do. As such, when it comes to acting on matters of faith, use the same (likely subjective) criteria for whether or not to show the pers...

Re: Basically Decent or Politically Incorrect?

"African-American" is worse than pretty much else, in the way it's used with one referring to race and the other to nationality. When used for black Americans, it's condescending and calls undue attention to whatever isn't the primary meaning in context... as if there needs to be a remind...

Re: [SAFESPACE] Woman Thread - All Things Women. Period.

@mochafairy [would quote but I can't link] Pretty good beginner's selection! I'm sad that FWD is no longer a thing. :c Hi, I'm new to the thread! I don't identify as a woman, but I'm perceived-female and FAAB [female assigned at birth], so. Female experiences are very much something I identify with....

Re: [SAFESPACE] LGBTIQQA Thread - Queer Support!

Hi! o/ I'm a new member, and there was nothing to be done but promptly seek out the queer thread here.

I prefer using 'queer' to sum up my existence, but if pressed, I will identify as genderqueer and pansexual. Hi! o: [I appreciate this thread being marked as a safe space! Certainly enticed me.]

Re: Looking for music by good *non-english* singers

If you don't mind the typical Japanese suggestion, I would give Sakamoto Maaya a try. She has a very clear, high voice that I find really enjoyable to listen to.

Re: INTRO THREAD THE THIRD

Hello! I guess I'm Denebola or something. Also, I'm not very interesting.

I suppose I'm a genderqueer Scot student. I like kitties? ^o.o^
