Re: Trump presidency

Supposedly Bannon still has the security clearance and is still attending NSC meetings. It could be a preemptive move regarding the investigations or it could be some really weird internal sparring. A little ominous.

Re: Trump presidency

stuff It's certainly exhausting in a lot of ways. I've heard it expressed a few times before but I don't have as much of a problem with the partisanship atmosphere. Radicals and horeshoe theory, opposition tactics and hypocrisy, intolerant tolerance and intolerance -- it's ignorable once identified...

Re: Trump presidency

However, I'm also sick of reading all the pieces constantly parroting about how bad of a president he is and how America made a terrible mistake. They never offer any solutions, and they basically just go in spirals complaining. I mean, it's hard to come up with a solid plan to loosen the grip the ...

Andromeda is coming out in a few hours and the reviews are out. Reception is mixed, It's reminding me a lot of Dragon Age 2. A good portion of people not liking how unpolished it is and/or the quality of the writing, which then extends to people bashing the game and anyone who likes it, which then f...

Re: Gaming fleeting thoughts

I just finished it. There are several encounters in the second half that have turn based talking, and each one has a unique approach. There's something of a small turn based heist for example, incorporating the turn based talking to distract someone. It's neat but it doesn't save the combat system a...

Re: Gaming fleeting thoughts

Torment Tides of Numenera quietly released. Very dialogue heavy game, probably even more so than Planescape Torment. You can avoid most fights with skill checks and it's a little too easy to do so, sometimes even easier than fighting due to the unusual stat system in place. In PsT there are often en...

Also, I repeat that there are allways the option to controll what you want, so you can leave your base and resources for the IA, and take care of fighting with your troops, for example. When challenge is introduced there's a conflict. Either controlling troops manually is ideal and so you should do...

Re: real RTS decision-based idea

I think I've considered this idea before, way back when I had very few RTS hours. It's a natural thought over the normal inability or unwillingness to manage a base or army, and maybe it would be interesting as a sort of idle game. But damn does it take out all the magic out of RTS for me. Gratuitou...

I finished Raven Shield with the 2.0 mod and I'm still coming back to it for fun. As much as I enjoy the reticle, I didn't know how much I missed iron sights, and it seems the two are mutually exclusive. Raven Shield doesn't have iron sights, and so the iron sights are more like a 2D scope being bro...

Re: Trump presidency

The point a lot of people keep missing is that he would actually have to commit a crime to be impeached. You can't just impeach the President (much less move on to removing him) because you don't like him, or his policies, or the overall job that he is doing. It doesn't work that way. I'm aware of ...

Like the collapse of Forza Italia. I feel like Trump is so extreme and incompetent that the Republican party will need to distance themselves at some point to save the party. Italy has a more multiparty system where it makes more sense to go down with the ship. Trump isn't a perfect scapegoat either...

You leave a settlement cell as soon as its hit from a simulated attack, and ten settlers instantly die. You fast travel back to fix the damages, and the unlucky ten drop dead where they stand -- like they've just been pulled from the Matrix. Working as intended or no?

The settlements are pretty shit, everyone can see it. So I wouldn't underestimate the modding community's imagination and zeal to add complexity to it. Saying that you would or could do these things kind of insults the modding community, and it's a very easy sort of mistake to make. What is possible...

There's an icon next to the character portrait that shows the fatigue debuff when it happens. If there's no icon then you're fine. There's no bar graph telling you how close you are.
