Re: Bulletproof hair

Sorta . She stomped her accelerator and fled, then turned into another parking lot and called police. Sounds like she was in her vehicle when the shots were fired, so the windows probably slowed down the bullet(s) quite a bit, but she's probably still feeling pretty lucky. She might want to take he...

Obligatory "I see what you did there".

It's always great to see advancements like this that can really change people's lives. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like to just lose the use of a limb, never mind losing the actual limb.

Toshiba Satellite A100 LCD not working

So here's the situation: my sister's laptop was infected with some trojans/malware/whatever, so I boot into safe mode, run some stuff (AVG, Malwarebytes) and upon removing an affected registry setting, Windows would no longer allow me to log in. I would click on the user name, it would log in and im...

Re: Can I has some violence?

I find myself fascinated by accounts of fights. Some are geniunely enjoyable and some sound terrible and scary, but either way, I always sort of want to hear a blow-by-blow. I'm the same way. Maybe because hearing about it is the closest I've come to the experience of being in a fight. Not that I'd...

Probably a ninja in a suit... that is, the businessninja! Unless I get a sudden flash of creativity, of course. Holy crap, I was just about to post this same thing, but just before posting I decided I'd look at the first few pages to see what people came up with last year. Are you sure you're not m...

Re: Fire / Pyromania / EXPLOSIONS

When I was about 11 or 12 my friend and I decided to barbeque ourselves something for lunch, so we turned on the propane but realized we had nothing to light it with. After grabbing a lighter from inside we came back out and after a couple clicks a 3 or 4 foot fireball ignited from all the propane t...

Re: Awesome Student Quotes

I was in a bathroom before an evening class and I overheard two guys at the sinks talking about the cleanliness of bathrooms, specifically sink faucets and door handles. The one guy was giving off the impression that it was always better to wash your hands, but his friend was explaining how it can s...

Re: Moving

I'm connected to a linksys network right now. It helps to keep me from exceeding the 25 GB/month bandwidth limit I'm currently subjected to. I do have my own linksys router set up, but the name is not linksys and it's definitely password protected.

Re: Do you actually enjoy your job?

Right now I'm working for an accounting firm as a co-op student. After four non-consecutive four-month work terms, I've realized I have absolutely no desire to finish my accounting degree and get my designation. I don't hate my job, but I definitely don't enjoy it. So, I am transferring into a compu...

Re: Losing the Fattage

I've got the same problem with stomach fat that just won't go away. If you're feeling snack-ish, you could try to keep a supply of "negative calorie foods" on hand to eat instead of junk food. In line with BlackSails' advice, these supposedly use up more calories than they supply from cons...
