Re: Things you remember watching but can't remember the name

A Spanish show that's pretty much a cross between Judge Judy and a debate tournament. There are two people that come on stage and present their disagreement, then the audience members argue about who is right and who is wrong in that situation. The people on stage who have the dilemma get to argue f...

The Once and Future King , but not because I didn't like it. It's comprised of shorter storylines, each progressively darker than the previous. It starts out pretty much like the Disney Sword In the Stone, but gets more Game of Thrones-y near the end. I didn't want to read about the fall of King Ar...

Has anyone had any experience coping with gender dysphoria? My SO identifies as genderqueer (she prefers female pronouns) and she told me that sometimes her dysphoria upsets her. Is there something I can say or do to help? Her parents are homophobic so she can't go to them for help.

MyPlate ! It not only tracks the calories you input from food, but also how many you burn for exercise, how much water you drink, recipes, calories in a recipe, how far you've run, and the nutritional information in the food you eat. It has changed how I think about food. It gives you a bar graph o...

TvTropes most definitely ruined my vocabulary. I know that some of the tropes have actual literary terms, but it's so much easier to think of things in their TvTropes titles. If I'm asked to discuss an antihero my first inclination is to state which type of antihero he is. Things like that make disc...

Re: True Life: I eat because I'm bored.

I was in a similar situation, and I've found a few things that really help. If you eat low or zero calorie foods (carrots, celery, broccoli) when you get the urge to eat out of boredom you can cut way down on calories as well as filling up so you don't overeat during meals. When it's too hot to exer...

An animated show, each episode would be based around a musical composition and animated with the genre and origin of the song in mind. There would be one recurring character, but there wouldn't be an dialogue in the show other than the lyrics, if the song had any. ex. The Moon Over the Ruined Castle...

All the really funny books seem to be by British authors.
