Re: Coding: Fleeting Thoughts

Javascript's Date, in particular, is a near-exact copy of Java's Date, with all the terrible mistakes that implies. Side-effect of its initial design being done in 10 days and needing a date object from the very beginning. Fortunately we have better options for both languages these days. But goddam...

Or you can find a guy who is coding VBA, and if you dislike this guy, you open his code and add random "chr(255)" characters in his code (like at the beginning or the end of some variables), so everything will break up, and he will possibly have a hard time finding why his code is broken....

The people I talked to that voted early yesterday said there were massive lines, which is great, except probably indicative of not many polling locations. The county where I went to uni only had one early voting location for the 3rd-biggest city in the state (courtesy of Republicans). That's fucked...

According to that article they've pretty much been baby-sitting him for the last week. This is a man running for president. The thing is, it's a smart play. I wonder if Clinton, assuming she'll win, will fire Comey. I'm not sure I follow your code, but I don't think you have a left vs. right binding problem. All of the operators you're working with are associative, so you can bind to the right or the left at your choice after you've accounted for BEDMAS precedence. The only exception is exponentiation, which is...

My understanding is that Trump needs a bunch of polls in a bunch of states to be wrong (in his favour) to win. If the current state of the polls is accurate but imprecise, he loses. The 538 model thinks polling errors are strongly correlated with one another, so if pollster a in Pennsylvania is over...
