Logging into a website and gathering data
My friend is in IB HL Computer Science, and for one of the IB requirements he needs to make some sort of application. Our school uses this website, Edline, to post student grades. My friend's program is going to take the grade data from the website, then display it additional useful ways. I told him...

Oh, I should bring up my favorite Babbage quote. Charles Babbage, you may recall, was the one who came up with a rather ingenious 19th century calculating machine based entirely on gears . On two occasions I have been asked [by members of Parliment], – "Pray, Mr. Babbage, if you put into the m...

I've been thinking about getting a second monitor and now is a great time with lots of things on sale. Although this algorithm is asymptotically the fastest, the asymptotic...

Getting Google Image Results; Also Blocking Results
I'm working on a program for my high school's open house for eighth graders. The idea is that the person would type in a word, the program will get the first image result (with strict safe search) and display it on the screen, and finally the student can draw on it with the mouse. There are two prob...

Re: Headset: One speaker not working
Is there any way I could try to fix this? Dismantle it and check the soldering on the wire where it is attached to the speaker. One might be loose; if so, resolder it. If that looks good, do a resistance test on both of the wires (left and right). If one is significantly higher than the other, it's...

I have a headset that was working fine yesterday but isn't working today. The speaker for the left ear is working fine, but for the right one to work you have to fiddle with the cord a bit. This might be due to accidentally rolling over the cable or something. Is there any way I could try to fix this?

She was last seen 42 years before the article was published and was 42 when she died. This can be no coincidence.

This is unrelated to security, but pretty funny. There used to be a copy of halo in one of the shared folders on the school's network. Our teacher didn't really care if people played, as long as it didn't interfere with work.

I think at my school the IB HL Physics and AP Physics C are the same class, so I think the two are pretty similar. Also, some of the IB kids take AP exams, such as English Language, World History, and Spanish; I'm not really sure what this says about the classes though.
