Not quite. The printer was right there, but it still took me longer than 15 seconds to put paper in and press the copy button (let alone for the actual copying).

How are you converting to ASCII?
From what I can find, & in ASCII is 0x26 (0010 0110 in binary), and that doesn't seem to be anywhere in the tweets you've listed.

If you are getting things like "�", could they be HTML/XML character references?
