Re: 1538: "Lyrics"

I always wondered this but do people really have trouble reading in dreams? Because I never had a problem with it. In fact, after I woke up and managed to remember the dream I was always surprised how logical and grammatically correct the documents/books/notes/whatever I read were. As for lyrics, ye...

Re: Dungeons and Dragons (and other tabletop RPGs)

Here are some funny stories from various tabletop RPGs and also the host, Spoony, is a great example of what a good DM should be:

Man, I didn't play any TRPG in like... 4 years. Not good, need to fix it.

Re: Anime Thread of Doom

I asked a while ago if anyone had an opinion on the latest incarnation (Slayers Revolution) and no one piped up. Slayers Revolution is an absolute piece of crap. And this comes from someone who LOVES old Slayers (well, Slayers Try wasn't that good but it still was enjoyable). It's so utterly shitty...

Re: Great Steam Deals (And other Online Distribution Systems

I hate digital market. I'm a collector and I like my shelves full of game boxes. If I can't physically touch something I bought I don't see much difference between original and pirated copy.

Re: Instruments you wish you played

I really wish I could play violin and piano. The worst thing is, when I was 6 or 7 my parents made me take one piano lesson and then asked if I want to continue and I said no. Man was I stupid as a kid. However I WILL learn violin, mark my words...

Re: Chess vs. Go Which is the better board game.

Yup, go is superior to chess (though I like shogi the best). On the other hand I suck at go big time while only a little at chess. But that's due to my non-existent memory. I can't predict far ahead because I forget pieces changed placement not to mention I don't even remember which moves I started ...

Re: New Baldur's Gate game?

I bet on a re-release on steam http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=29521025&postcount=425 Why are they so happy while both BG's are available on GOG DRM-free and with bonuses (soundtrack, artworks, wallpapers), I have no idea. And even if it won't be just a simple re-release, it...

Re: I have mysterious unresolved issues involving Digimon.

Maybe try finding some activity that will push Digimons out of your head (i'm not saying it will be easy but it should be possible)? And in the meantime you can play Digimon World for PSX.

Re: Today I Learned

Today I learned that math is even more awesome than I thought and that you can use it in seemingly unrelated cases and get desired results. Like solution to the "Yet Another Hat Problem" (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=348). I was like "You can't be serious...*does some calculations for vari...

Re: My write-up of the "Blue Eyes" solution (SPOILER A

I didn't read whole thread to see if something similiar was posted here so sorry if I repeat someones post. There is another way to explain a solution to this puzzle. It's pretty much the same thing only longer because you're going from 99 to 1 and then back again to 99. This is how I solved this pu...

Re: 1002: "Game AIs"

Dang, I need to read wiki more thoroughly. So, where should we put shogi on the comic strip? Before or after arimaa (because I guess go is undisputed champion)? Arimaa was specificaly made to be hard for AI. Starting with a pieces pattern of your choice, having four moves per turn and pushing/pullin...

Re: 1002: "Game AIs"

So first of all, since this is my first post here, hello to everyone. Now to cut to the chase. The topic of AI in non-chance games is very interesting and seeing chess and go put in here I can't help but to be a little disappointed in an omission of shogi in comic strip as well as in this whole topi...
