Re: 1529: "Bracket"

More to the pile: Doctor Frank-N-Furter (Rocky Horror Picture Show) Doctor Robotnik Doctor Quinn, Medicine Woman Dr. Mario It was said on the last page, but I think Dr Seuss deserves a top spot Also, I half-expected Van Hellsing to appear with the "Van"s. I'm not actually saying the comic ...

Re: 1360: "Old Files"

EV Override. That brings back memories. I tried playing EV Nova recently, and realized just how bad the combat is. The weapons are too powerful and the ships are too slow, and the one that can outrange the other is the winner every time. That said, I still have fond memories of it, so whatever! I l...

Oh no, someone is wrong on the internet! ME, to the rescue! [/selfDepreciation] Wouldn't this more appropriately be called a Prisoner's Dilemma? It's most beneficial for all parties to give good review to good hotels, but the logic he uses in the argument to provide a bad review would appear to be m...

Re: #903: Extended MInd

I find it interesting that the alt text seems to be more of a focus of discussion than the actual comic. :) ...I have just wasted 20 minutes trying to find a counterexample which is not a loop. This is great! I tried it twice, it worked for "Anti-Mullerian Hormone" and "List of Narut...

Re: 0804: Pumpkin Carving

Explanation for people who don't get the joke (i.e. me until I checked Wikipedia): From Wikipedia (because I'm too lazy to paraphrase) The Banach–Tarski paradox is a theorem in set theoretic geometry which states that a solid ball in 3-dimensional space can be split into a finite number of non-overl...

Re: "So Bad It's Worse" Discussion

It's so true...
The first part of the movie is literally wookies grunting at each other for half an hour with no subtitles. No joke.

At one point, one wookie kid was being bad and walking on the balchony of their treehouse, miles above the surface. We kept rooting for him to fall.

Re: "Android Girlfriend" Discussion

To the joke-non-getters: floating around somewhere in popular culture land is the concept of someone tying a knot in a cherry stem with his/her tongue, with the intent of proving some sort of sexual prowess. Bonus points to anyone who actually knows the source of said concept. I haven't a clue. Edi...
