Re: Spots, Zits and Pimples R Us!

Besides medication and creams, to not be redundant:

Sports (sweating cleans your pores)

Being in contact with the sun (it's a bit of a double edged sword though, it can make pre existing scars more permanent)

Not being stressed

A hairstyle that doesn't cover your face

Don't touch your face

Re: "Don't worry, you'll do better at math this time!"

People taking a math course for the second time are usually those who failed it the first time. Also, "Yeah, I took it in my 20s, but I have every intention of making the same grade I made the first time through." Out of context, this probably implies a high grade. "I have to re-take ...

Become a programmer, find a job in the US and work from home. You'll have to take a cut in pay but it's worth it. Don't waste all your money on a US education. I'm into the creative side of things, programming is beyond me. Can you define pays well - is this by Chilean standards or by American stan...

I don't really know, just throwing "well" out there as a loose term. Minimun monthly pay in Chile is $144,000 (US$ 326) though.

Immigrating to work (hello USA)

Well, I have just a little bit more than a year until I'm done with school. I want to study abroad, namely, the United States, which luckily is very accessible to me since I'm in an international school with an American school program. The bad news: my family has been stumbling around economically f...

Re: National Geography Bee: Is this information useful?

About that article though, it intrigued me that all the finalists were boys. The national spelling bee has a decent amount of girls in it every year... I wonder why the geography bee is so different? I guess, in a general sense, boys learn better visually than girls do, and geography is very visual.

Re: I'm Writing, I'm Writing, I'm Writing a Novel

this sounds more like a short story than a novel. also, it should be sheer terror in the narrative until the main character is locked into a "safe" place (one room where he blocks the door, for example), and has a bit of time to contemplate, and becomes philosophical then. then, sheer terr...
