if you meant the jaffa, as i understood it they were entirely controled by the Goa'uld and carried the symbiotes because they were ordered to do so (or rather, because it was a religious ritual created by their gods)

i don't find this surprising at all. it's easy to go over to a colleague's office to chat, but when there a 20 other people around, you'll want to keep noise level to a minimum, and 10 parallel conversations are a little bit distracting.

Surely an LED bulb has a lower effective temperature than a normal (incandescent) light bulb. They have about the same surface area, but an LED bulb emits less total EM radiation. LEDs only look "hot" because their spectrum is so different to that of a black body. Not clear what you mean ...
