So I've had a bunch of tamarind paste left over from a recipe I can't recall making anymore just sitting in my fridge for the last two months or so. One, is it usable (I would think so since it seems acidic and well-dried)? Two, what do I do with it?

I've been rewatching Series 5, and after seeing The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone, it seems as if Moffat (on reflection, the writer of every River Song episode) is carefully dancing around naming River Song as the Doctor's wife. Coincidence? I think not.

Rory dying could be an example of a good cliffhanger, but they only had a week in between that and the next episode, so some of the emotional impact was a bit lost. If that had happened before a months-long break, then Rory coming back would have been so much more emotionally impacting. Not quite. ...

So apparently Diablo Swing Orchestra replaced their drummer with Therion's drummer from Gothic Kabbalah.

I am somewhat depressed. GK was the first Therion album I disliked in about a decade and word has it that the guy wrote nearly half the music for that album.
