I had a problem with Jenny's constant until I realized that that was a minus sign in the exponent, not a "dot" for multiplication.

Re: 0991: "Phantom Menace"

The only reason people like [Boba Fett] is they marketed the mail-order-only toy before the movie even came out. I suspect another reason Boba Fett got cult status (even before the prequels) is that he was like the secret handshake of Star Wars fandom. If you knew who Boba Fett was, you were a legi...

Of course, passwords are impossible to remember. But there has always been a simple solution employed by so many of my former co-workers and present-day relatives:

Leave it on a piece of paper next to your computer.
And store it in your phone under the name PIN.

I'm remembering hearing about Eddie Murphy meeting Mr. Rogers. He expected a regular guy to walk up to him and say, "Hey, there. I'm Fred Rogers."
Instead, he was exactly like he was on his show. (Fred's, not Murphy's).

It was just 17% in this poll. I remember a higher one, but it was evidently never 40%. The point remains, people like that exist. The most likely explanation seems simple racism, to me. Well, a conservative (don't know how many of those are around here) might frame this as follows: You have a liberal Republican (which isn't really an oxymoron) and a liberal Democrat (which isn't really a redundancy). The conservative-minded voter doesn't care for either one, and it comes down to wh...
