Oh wow. I admit, I gave up hope on this thread generating any replies, and missed your post. I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode and each episode thereafter just pulled me deeper in, almost without fail; I loved the entire show, except for the last episode. Just when I was coming around to loving...

Re: Anime Thread of Doom

I never meant to imply that LGBT characters are particularly poorly represented in anime, I was just pleasantly surprised by how non-nonchalantly and matter-of-factly it was treated in this case. That being said, I've only been watching anime again for the past 3-4 months, so I haven't seen many oth...

Man. This one... I'm interested in it by its origins alone. The fact that we're getting an anime series based off of a Vocaloid "song cycle" so to speak really entertains me. I hope it does well.

This reminds me, I should finish Soul Eater. I watched it on Toonami for the most part, but missed it's last two slots. Now I just can't find the urge to finish them I really liked it early on, but it's lost my interest somewhere along the way. I'll get to it... sometime, I'm sure. I should really r...

Okay, it's 5 a.m., I can't sleep and by now the passing curiosity of an hour ago has steadily built up to a raging frustration. I need to know what this stupid song is. It's vague, I'm sorry, but here's what I've got: I heard it on the radio today, on either a pop or alt-rock station (it didn't soun...

I hated Hajime in the first episode but by the second I really liked her. I guess I thought they were just making this annoying character but there was actually substance behind her behavior. I was pleasantly surprised by so many elements of this movie, but the best thing - the one thing I would take away from this movie - is that Disney was finally ready to turn the concept of "love at first sight" on it's head and give it the burial it deserved. The romance between Hans a...

I've recently discovered Mike Rugnetta's Idea Channel on Youtube. Just finished Angel Beats. Call me heartless, but I was pretty underwhelmed. I didn't feel the series had much of an emotional impact, and the entire premise is strange, unrelatable and not very interesting, to me. As far as "make me cry" shows go, Ano Hana was infinitely better. Oh well,...

Oh, like SAO, but good? Log Horizon sounds pretty cool then. Looking past the flaws in the premise, SAO looked like it was going to be a very rewarding and fulfilling show. I mean, I still think it looks good, so there's still that, I guess.
