Re: GOP senators' letter to Iran

To the original topic - I have an associate employed by a certain namely US gov't intelligence agency. His point of view is interesting as an intelligence analyst: Imagine this letter came from any other country to the US, lets say from North Korea. It reads like "That man you are talking to is...

Re: Three men to stand trial for stealing food from a bin

I think there's a bit of confusion when we make analogies - some laws are civil, some are criminal (speaking for the US only at this point). Civil law-breaking, when brought up, can be dropped at the victims request. Breach of contract, etc. It's the knowing I could take you to court, but chosing no...

I built my rifles for 3 reasons: 1. I have an engineering degree and I like to tinker 2. It was cheaper than buying one from a shop 3. If you were to buy/sell/transfer an AK style rifle in Maryland, there is a ton of paperwork and registration involved. With the new laws I think its outright barred....

Irresponsible gun owners leading to injury/death are the sorts who 1. shoot themselves while cleaning their gun, 2. Leave guns where children/felons have access to them. I'd wager the reason for that statement is to allow the charges to be more clearly assigned and tried. Really you don't want charges that overlap.
