Print Kickstarters - More than just vidja games.

I'd like to ask for your help to raise funds for the first ever Webcomic Underdogs Anthology, which features the work of a bunch of really talented creators. Hopefully things will work out well enough to turn it into a series and hold open submissions for future editions. But for now we're mainly fo...

Re: Join Webcomic Underdogs! Best friend to the indie creato

A great blog has been added to the site about the difficulties for some people to adhere to deadlines. Writer Marisa Brenizer set a challenge for herself to write the blog in less than 15 minutes. After that it's pencils down! Check out Don't Fear The Timer.

This is the official Webcomic Underdogs DA page. We try to make it a point to watch all of our member's pages, so if you happen to be a member of WU and we are not currently watching your DA page, let us know!

Re: Completely Unbearable Comics

I friggin' love your tag line: Comedic art by neither a comedian nor an artist. Haha!

If you wanted to make these more "unbearable" you should draw them with the opposite hand that you write with. Might be an interesting experiment for one page? Or...maybe just plain stupid. I dunno.

This is some great reference material. Thanks for posting it, I think I'll share it with some artists. But this one had me laughing some.

One of our great members wrote a fascinating blog about legendary X-Men writer, Chris Claremont. You can read what he has to say about the man here.

Re: pacific rim

While you can't argue opinions, this honestly strikes me as the same sentiment of 'I hate country music'. That is, it rather misses the point that there's a great deal of fantastic country music. If you don't like 'films with fun action and physical conflict', then sure, you're shit out of luck. I ...

Re: pacific rim

What are people seeing that this looks like a bad, stupid movie to them? Obviously I can't speak for others, but for me...pretty much everything about the previews looks horrible. Terrible, cliche dialogue and inadequate CG. I will say that I'm very hard to impress when it comes to big blockbuster ...

Re: How do you find new books?

I find it difficult to get into new authors, especially on my own. I pretty much have to get a strong recommendation from someone I know and trust. If I read every book my mom suggested to me, I'd want to blow my brains out. I only listen to close friends or other comic creators who have a similar t...

Re: What Bands have you Abandoned?

I was very disappointed with the new MUSE album. They are hanging on by a thread for me. I still love their previous works, but if their next album is as bad as their most recent, I will probably stop purchasing their albums. TOOL was a band I was effing obsessed with in high school, but grew out of...

Re: pacific rim

I'm sorry, but I think this looks like one of the worst movies ever. It sounds like a great premise (although it's a premise that is not original), and I simply love Del Torro, but I get cringe just watching the trailer. It sounds like it has the worst script ever and the cg isn't good enough to be ...

Join Webcomic Underdogs! Best friend to the indie creator!

I've launched a new online community called Webcomic Underdogs, where all webcomic creators are welcome! So you have a webcomic. Now what? Do you maybe find yourself wishing that: 1.Your pageviews would miraculously increase? 2.Your "Comments" section would live up to its name? 3.Your Face...

Re: Iceberg the size of Chicago breaks off Antarctica

The issue isn't that this article should have been posted there, but rather that the discussion MyGfsDog seemed to want, about whether AGW is a thing in the first place, should go there rather than here. I wasn't "wanting" to make make a new discussion. It's just that whenever I see thing...

Re: Iceberg the size of Chicago breaks off Antarctica

While these findings are alarming, the fact is that we are actually heading into an ice age, rather than a long term period of global warming. What happens is the Earth goes through cycles every 10,000 or 11,000 years or so where it get very warm for a while, and then suddenly gets very cold and the...
