FreeBSD has a six-drink lower limit on entry? This explains so much. :P

Re: "Drapes" Discussion

I hate to make this tall of a quote stack almost as much as I hate to start sentences with the phrase "As a math major--" however, So Jeff...what is the answer? Does the carpet really match the drapes? Check the name, it's Not Jeff. And it only matches in eloquence, never in sty...

I couldn’t tell that was a cell phone for a second… got thrown by panel 4, which looks as if the guy is examining his hands. Then they beep next panel.

They run on Windows and Access. The complete failure to find something more appropriate for the job alone scares me enough.

I misread “Morgan” as “Gordon” and thought for a second, “Wait, he doesn’t say anything….”

Re: Beijing Olympics

I was basically sold on the opening ceremony from the dot-matrix drum countdown. Seriously, 500-foot LCD screens? More fireworks than all of the shows I’ve seen put together? Giant things rising out of center stage two or three times during the show? Fifteen thousand performers? A flying torch run a...

Granted. In a moment of indecision, you accidentally travel in both temporal directions at once and tear yourself from the fabric of existence.

I wish I had the motivation to sleep early instead of staying up late.

Does anybody find the Pope figure immensely creepy? I mean, stick figures without faces I can handle, but a man with what otherwise appears to be a full body and no face….

(Then again, in the right light, the actual pope looks kind of scary as well.)

Unless Richard Ashcroft hasn’t ever left the street on which the music video for “Bitter Sweet Symphony” was filmed, he’s definitely been down more than one road.

For proper security: http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/9529/brucejt6.png Ah, but If I had to do that whole seven-mythical-Norse-heroes-epic-passpoem thing every single time I wanted to hook or unhook that bra, I’d just give up on wearing it entirely. Thus we are foiled again by the critical weak s...

Re: Fun/Awesome/Cool/Useful software

What is the best music player people know of for us in linux? I'm disappointed at the lack of anything that does a media library in a semi-decent manner. I found Amarok to be more than competent at library-style music management, though I don’t know what the 2.0 release is like. It works fine under...

More than one band director I’ve had, to someone (invariably a trombonist) who is having trouble putting air through his or her instrument: There’s a switch on your trombone. It’s either in suck mode or in blow mode. My AP World History teacher, in an attempt to sort out those who were doing present...

Re: INTRO THREAD THE THIRD

Hi all. I’m kurennia. I picked that name out of thin air and subsequently Googled it to make sure it didn’t mean, say, “sexual relations with lungfish” in, oh, Polish or Malay before I registered. Eighteen, male. That’s about all.
