Re: Softbank to Buy Sprint

Softbank is definitely not any faster than American telecom companies. The only advantage they might have is they don't charge late fees or anything. I travel back an forth from Japan a lot and have a softbank phone and an AT&T phone that operate just the same.

Tiberius, perhaps you should look at it as how would you feel if that was your grandmother or mother on the bus? I would also like to know how you would deal with children behaving like they are in the video clip. That's definitely not the first time something like this has happened to her, I'm sure...

I'm still not sure why you think that the father should be absolved of responsibility in this instance. Generally, you're still legally liable for accidents. Leniency is usually given, sure, but he also isn't being charged with reckless endangerment. Because no damage was caused except to his own v...

Mind blowing. I make sure to bring up that we're fighting radical islamists and not Islam every time someone tries to say this. How much better it that, though? By showing that we are not at war with the religion of Islam, but people who seek to manipulate the religion to further their personal goa...

I don't imagine Gears is saying that it's the women's fault for bad things happening to them (at least, I hope not), but rather pointing out what he feels is the logical/inevitable conclusion to what's about to happen. And I can't necessarily disagree with the "This would be nice, but it decre...

Which is something everyone will agree with. Rape is always the rapists fault. But a culture centered on violence is necessary for fighting a war. I just believe it's an unneccessary risk that will be detrimental to the morale of a unit, when we're busy fighting a war. The lives of soldiers shouldn'...

The standard WILL lower to avoid washouts. It's inevitable. Look at the US Army's new PT test. Its gender neutral and easy as fuck. As for grunt battalions: EO, rape, and sexual harrassment claims are already happening at an astounding rate, and it deteriorates morale, costs money and time, and prov...

Now if only all females ran the same PFT as I do. As for the comment about it being a "bad idea" I'm sure you've never been in a grunt battalion.

I did also say that if they meet the same standards as males do they should get the same opportunity.

This is a big deal because a secret service agent could be blackmailed into releasing secrets (lest it start a scandal...) and it's not uncommon for Country A to use women to gain secret information from Country B's employees. They should all lose their clearances at the minimum.
