*poke* *poke* *revives* Greetings, all. I'm Connie. *waves* This is for those of you who have posted in the Chicago meetup thread, and have expressed interest in meeting up at one point or another. Re: The Chicago-area small n' cozy meetup (MEETUP 3: MARCH 21)

At the risk of sounding like a broken iPod, I'd like to bump this. And hope that someone will decide that this Friday sounds like an excellent idea. I'm almost done with school, so I'm in the mood to celebrate. And what better way than bubble tea? Again, 6 pm is perfectly suitable, if people find th...

Since I have a record (okay, like one meetup) of suggesting times and places that actually collect people, I'll go at it again, now that school will be finishing soon: Friday, June 12th. 4 pm. Chinatown. Joy Yee's. Best bubble teas in town. If it goes well, people can come to dinner at Lao Sze Chuan...

Last time I went to a Chicago-area meetup for xkcd, I ran into a guy I know (by name but not by face) from swing dancing. It kind of took us more than an hour to figure out that we knew each other IRL. Freakiest ever.

Well, I think there's actually a lot about Boston that I probably haven't seen. As natives, there's always a lot that you miss, I think, because you're naturally inclined to cluster around the part that you come from/ go to school in, etc. And Bostonians in particular are apt to turn their noses up ...

Where did you see / find that? When I refresh the xkcd main page, I still see Cover-Up. RanCorp MIT applicants spoofed the admissions website as a prefrosh hack - I think Randall actually did the comic though. I know that Randall actually did the comic. Surprisingly, yes. We've read some Economy and Society in sociology class, and I have a copy of the Protestant Ethic sitting on my bedstand waiting to be read. It's behind Arabian Nights, the Mandarins, and A Storm of Swords, though. Might... take... a while.
