Tonight was salmon fillet fried in olive oil. The oil had been frying onion and garlic for a while before.
Topped the salmon with the onion and garlic. The oil was used in a couple of loaves of bread.
It's good bread.

The only firearm I've had any real experience with is the M16A2 I'm sometimes issued.

Well unfortunately I wound up having to take the walking trail (along with most of the other 'hounds') because we simply couldn't find the start of the running trail; of course I blame the hares...

Don't think so. Hyper-traditional households will have separate serving-wear (plates etc) for meat and dairy dishes, if I remember rightly.

Got down to about -3F last winter, but I'm told that was worse than normal.
My experience is limited as I've only been through two winters here, but I'd say a lot colder than a Texas boy is used to!

Another potential problem with decreased tidal flexing is that the planet may not have a strong magnetic field. Not sure what that would mean for life on the surface, but using planets in our system as analogy I would guess it would result in a lack of atmospheric hydrogen like Venus.
