An article I wrote about 'power'

For a long time now I wanted to make a website to house my ideas on life, the universe and everything else. Then please, please, please get a blog. We have better places for posting your original material for critique. -Az. Actually, I *did* make a website (though I haven't uploaded it yet), but I'm...

Re: Fan Fiction

Here's the best non-pornographic fanfic I've ever read. The only one too. Basically, it says: let's take Neon Genesis Evangelion, and introduce it to Warhammer 40k. The result is an excessive amount of awesome. Warning: it's very, very, VERY long, and not yet concluded. Oh, and you might want to be ...

Re: Your old forum sites

There were a couple of forums in Hebrew I visited in my tender years, (Vgames and Gamer to those who care) but I left when I was 14. In 2003 I joined the community of http://forums.kyhm.com , which was (then) based on the Exploitation Now and Errant Story webcomics. The place was pure awesome, and I...

Re: An alternative to evolution AND creation.

Assumption (C): We can't differentiate between 'real' world and 'illusion' world. {you are welcome to try and attack this point} Thus, there there will be no evidence for or against the presence of the illusion, no grounds to agrue in either direction, and nothing to be gained from either point. Re: An alternative to evolution AND creation.

Definition (A): There is only one 'real' world [I use the word 'world' as 'universe'], it is defined as a world which exist, but not inside another world. Definition (B): illusion world can exist inside the real world, inside another illusion world, or not exist at all. Also, there is no limit to th...

Re: Turn sand invisible!

First off - the sand didn't dissolve. In fact, the solution was made so that it won't interact with the sand in any way.

Secondly, making a video of the procedure would take about two hours (with getting the materials ready and all). Sorry, but I'm too lazy for that.

Re: Thought processes.

My thought process is like a train. It goes on linearly, without stopping. I can grasp any concept as it is, but to string concepts together I need words. I don't think with a voice, it's more like the concept of how the word should sound. Kinda like looking at a music sheet and imagining the sounds...

Wow, compared to you guys I'm almost normal. Except the frantic search for reality's ctrl-Z key that I sometimes do. My brother bought me a one liter beer mug about a month ago. As it happens, I didn't have enough beer in my apartment (I recycle my beer pretty fast) at the time. At 12:00 PM or so, I...

Meeting people in meatspace, who you know online and so they call you by an online handle, that's just neat. I've played D&D with people who only knew me as Second Talon. Vocally (and often textually), it just gets shortened to ST (esstee). Esty/Estie/Estee isn't an uncommon name where I live. ...

I can imagine, that a some testing will show that the solution shouldn't be an exact 50/50 mix of turpentine and trichloroethane. I honestly couldn't tell the difference between 45%/55% to 55%/45%. The refraction value is the same +-0.005, which apparently isn't enough for me to discern the differe...
