Re: Thoughts on Goa'uld: population growth and similarity to Yeerks

SG1 definitely had the Goauld possessing through the neck in the first episode, given the fact trying to save Shaure was the reason Daniel agreed to join the team. The aquatic host thing is first mentioned in the Hammer (at least, that's when we see the original host for the goauld - though googling...

Re: Lucky Ten Thousand (TIL)

Cold chains are a bitch.

Even things that don't need a cold chain can be a problem given that room temperature is a good 10C higher than US/Europe so things degrade faster than their use by date would suggest.

It's affecting drinks and animal slaughtering. Presumably will also start affecting labs which need dry ice?

How the hell did they get the saliva from the rabid dog without that being a massive infection control risk?

I mean, letting it anywhere near a person no matter how dilute is mad, but you do wonder how they got it in the first place.

I mean, having a time dedicated to highlight it is important? It doesn't mean you can't talk about it outside of then, and it's ridiculous that people would say that as though awareness/appreciation for any other thing that has a day or a month doesn't get done outside of then.

So basically, what you are saying is that because prisoners may or may not have other rights, they shouldn't be allowed their right to life in case they manage to exercise their other rights.

That seems somewhat messed up.
