I know this feeling oh so well, even being an amateur astronomer, and therefore quite used-to and un-afraid of the dark.

Blast, foiled by my router hiccuping. Oh well, maybe next time. Like I said in my thread though, I was expecting a Scott Pilgrim joke. I like this better, though. That being said, the mention of of California being experimental went over my head (I'm Canadian, and I don't watch the news), anyone ca...

Sigh... Once again Randall recognizes that we need to make progress in space but misses what actually needs to be done... As a matter of fact Project Orion is hardly a capable mode of interstellar transportation, true, it would be more efficient than anything we have now, but just the same amount of...

Today's topic took so long to pop up that I could have done it myself, had I not been afraid of creating a duplicate. Anyway, awesome comic. Though the thing is, it pains me to see characters pass up such obvious solutions. I would enjoy this movie, sadly enough.

The Earth is neither round nor flat, it is, in fact, a convex parabola.

The Reptoids are actually amphibians, and they only control world governments in the Northern Hemisphere.

I feel like it would be possible to fit more jokes into this. I mean, there could be a lot more detail like in the other big comics (electromagnetic spectrum, etc). This was kind of bland. Holy crap! I felt exactly the same way about the 2007 Bridge to Teribithia adaptation. The space elevator is a ridiculous idea. It would cost trillions of dollars, no matter what tech...

Ahh... Now this is why I love xkcd. Just my kind of humor. Science-related, beautiful parody, and lots of good in-jokes. This great along with the Electromagnetic Spectrum one. I also love astronomy-humor, (astronomy in general, of course) and there's very little of it on the internet.
