Re: What-If 0057: "Dropping a Mountain"

I feel like the effects of the Denali-from-space impact should be animated and put to the music of "When I'm Bored"

Re: 1190: "Time"

Yes, but why that flag? That was the first sandcastle they built... So the castle is a FIFO? That was actually part of the second castle they built. [or maybe more of an addition?] The first castle they built was knocked down by Cueball when he fell off of the top. Yeah, I noticed. Still, it's the ...

I'd say it's wood with Raptor bones on the end, but it might be plastic or marble with Raptor bones.

He looks sad, taking down that flag. Almost like he will never see the castle again. I'm actually crying...
Randall, how do you do these things?

Re: 1190: "Time"

Well, there could be a moon and gravitational forces trying to work on the water, but Randall did import antigravity. Maybe they implanted a device in the beach, stopping the tides from rising or falling, so structures like sandcastles would stay (maybe that's why some overhangs fall of more than o...

AussieJono wrote:How about The Age of the Slow Tide?

Yes! Maybe that is a world of less gravity, and the moon can stay at the same distance but move slower in order to keep a roughly circular orbit! Or the moon is just more massive and further away. (If there even is a moon)

Re: 1190: "Time"

I think there should be an international newpix time (sort of like unix time)
So the current one would be 170 1/2 newpix. (aubronwood's tool is my clock right now, but we could make an official one)

Re: 1190: "Time"

After playing around with the pics a bit, I'm pretty sure it's zooming out, and it's not a landslide or anything of the sort. And if it is zooming out, what's it zooming out to? Will it turn out that the castle is part of some sort of fractal? where the castle is part of an even larger castle? If I...

Re: 1190: "Time"

I can't believe no one has done this yet... I did a pixel to pixel comparison and a single pixel went from RGB: (0x78, 0x78, 0x78) to (0x28, 0x28, 0x28). So one pixel got a little darker. My utility doesn't give me the coordinates, but it looks like it's on the right side of the image. A wave? Oh, ...

New one is a different file

But seemingly no changes, unless Randall has changed the opacity of a pixel somewhere in the sky or something.

Wait for it.

Theories: Now that he's gone, we'll probably see a few frames of the castle eroding (Bits falling off, like they were before? Rain? Waves?) and then them coming back to the castle to continue work, possibly with more materials. Or they might never go to the castle again. Although I guess someone els...

I can imagine them looking back at it saying "WE made this"
