Re: New Zealand meet up

There should be a new 2TB drive on its way to your house now to get things kicked off, I assume you still have the old enclosure laying around?

Provided work isn't too busy I should be able to get into town and ship my harddrive full of goodies over to you by the end of the week.

Ok, if I load up a drive with ~800gb of stuff from my computer onto this 1.5 I have here then send that and a new drive to one of you guys, can I get someone to back up any new stuff from the sneakernet onto said drive for me to pick up when I come back to NZ at the end of the year?

Hey guys, anyone keen to kick off another round of the sneakernet? I can front for a 2TB or two to send around if there is new content to be shared. I've been downloading at a rate of about 100gb/month since the start of the year, so have quite a bit of new stuff here.

Misconception: Humans own the planet.

"But cows would be extinct if we didn't farm them for meat." is a fucking ridiculous argument; we are but one single species, we cannot dictate what else is allowed to live on the entire planet based on its value to us.

how about a GPS tracker stuffed inside the seat? wouldn't deter theft, but you could easily track down the thief, steal it back under cover of dark and leave a very stern note for them expressing how foolish it was for them to steal from a ninja, and your revenge is in the making.
