Re: XKCD civilization IV pitboss marathon game

I know this thread has fallen off a bit, but if you do start a new one (with BTS) I'd definitely like in on that.

(By the way, does anyone here play on the Civ 3 or 4 civplayers ladders? I recommend trying them out, they're great communities.)

But if the problem were just an odd number of slices per loaf, wouldn't you only end up with three left for every other loaf? Your problem may be more... sinister in origin than you had anticipated. Re: A database of failed promises

It... would be interesting to live in a world where credibility could be given a quantitative value based on past performance. But people would still choose their own arbitrary values for 'credible enough,' which would still vary depending on whether they supported or opposed the new law. I guess it...

Re: A softer World, xkcd parody comic.

This one just doesn't do it for me and doesn't seem much like XKCD. It struck me as more of a parody of xkcd's fans than of xkcd itself, yeah. Speaking of which: Someone clearly hasn't kept up on their xkcd character art. The Black-Hatted Man isn't being a classhole in the least. Although, I can't ...

I find myself agreeing with elite sauce. The length is irrelevant. The quality is where it counts. (In my pants.){That's what She said} The last two books I read were Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell and Infinite Jest , both something like 1000 pages. Jonathan Strange I finished in under a week and...

Personally, I think their best songs are Delirium Trigger and In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth, off their first and second albums, respectively. I also think, with a few exceptions, that just about anything on either of those albums is better than just about anything on IV:1&2. I bought IV: 1...

I used to play this with my brother and sister. It always played just like a trading card game with no way of winning, though (we all played Magic). Fun but not as hilarious as what I'm hearing from you guys. I ought to try it with my friends. Most of our cards were references to books and games. I ...

The Cat Empire, they're pretty immense in Australia but have been steadily gaining fans everywhere, as they should, they deserve it.
