Re: "The Sun" Discussion

Sunshine, seriously? MUST . . . FIND . . . WAY . . . TO CALL XKCD . . . UNORIGINAL! Listen up, nerds: NOTHING is original. Every possible joke has been made and now the only difference between them is application. If you really want to stroke your confirmation bias, you can find some obscure way or ...

Re: "Bag Check" Discussion

My favorite is when they confiscate my empty bottle. Yeah, as if I'm gonna fill it with nitroglycerine once I get into the terminal. the part i don't understand, is that if they really suspect these water bottles are full of chemicals which can combine to cause an explosion, then why the hell are t...

Re: "Bag Check" Discussion

Also, I've always wondered about people highly skilled in unarmed combat. Shouldn't we tie them up or make them check their limbs or something before we let them on the plane? There was one time when my entire Jujitsu dojo was allowed to be on the same flight. Not that we're malicious individuals, ...

Re: "Creepy" Discussion

XKCD-frequenting single young men are getting a bad rap in this thread, I think mostly due to poor sample size. I've found the demographic in question to be one of the most sensitive, articulate, cultured groups on the internet. If you want nerd-boi's who think women are fleshlights and just want to...

Thank you for that, Dantes. Yes, the .002 error is an easy one to make. While the two reps who didn't grasp the math were unfortunately speaking to a hyper-arrogant "blogger", I'd like to clear up any notions that what transpired in that infamous recording is a regular occurrence. If you a...

Re: ↓→B: The Street Fighter IV Thread

The only problem I have with this game is the DDR style announcer. "Pick up the pace!" seems a bit over the top for the game's tone. Also, the cheese is burning me on this funny page.

Re: "Wood Chips" Discussion

The um . . . the joke here is that the main character is -such- a nerd who would go to great lengths to examine any abnormality (no matter how small), that he blindly assumes that everyone else would, as well. Thus, he sees no need to make wood-chips in a hallway any more unusual than the fact that ...

Re: Taking it seriously: The zombie problem

You know, I think the biggest threat of a Zombocalypse that has not yet been addressed in threads like this one are threads like this one. Because a hosting server has little use in a clandestine fight for survival, it is unlikely that existing servers would be compromised. As such, the free flow of...
