Heh. Figures. Guess I'll have to do things the old fashioned way. Time to update my IP filters.

Re: Using TOR at work: Just how anonymous am I?

Thanks for all the replies guys. I think what I'll most likely do is "acquire" some music and just bring it in on my flash drive. Seems like the easiest approach. Although this does bring up some questions about using TOR at home. Since sites like Rapidshare run straight through the browse...

Re: Using TOR at work: Just how anonymous am I?

That's pretty much what I figured. Let's assume I brought the laptop for a minute. I'd have to connect to the same network since there is no wi-fi anywhere near the building. Now the way the network is configured there are a limited number of static IP addresses that are allowed router access. I'd h...

Using TOR at work: Just how anonymous am I?

Ok, I'm not really sure where I should post this so feel free to move it if needed. My employer is beginning to blacklist websites. They're doing it with security features on our SonicWall router. I didn't care until they nailed Pandora. Without my music to distract me, I fear I may lose my mind som...

Re: getting rid of smoke smell

Smoke smells are a real bitch to remove. They will definitely dissipate over time but it sounds like you're looking for a quick fix. You might want to try canceling the cigarette smell with another kind of more pleasant smoke. Light some incense in an empty container and put the offending item in th...

Re: Punk Rock

GutterMOUTH, yes. Dammit, I am embarrassed! Anyway, y'all need to stop what you're doing and listen to secure horizons. "gotta learn to diversify!" Eh, I wasn't really trying to propose a real definition, just make a cynical comment. Course, punk is so cynical that maybe a cynical definit...

Re: Recommend one artist

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KE-oHVC8H40 Gogol Bordello. I love the band, I can't stop listening to Gypsy Punks Underdog World Strike Points for that one. I didn't think I'd run into anyone else who enjoyed Gogol Bordello. They're such a strange mix of styles. Always put a smile on my face when I...

That was vulgar, childish and intentionally offensive. I loved it! 8)

Re: Punk Rock

Revek mentioned Millencollin (Mr. Clean is awesome), Pennywise, and The Dropkick Murphys. Great stuff. You a fan of Gutterball too? I commend you on your taste in music, sir. Can't say that I'm familiar with Gutterball. Guttermouth is pretty good though. That's kinda close. Not sure if I can ...

"Imagine the intelligence of the average person... Now imagine that half of them are dumber than that." - Not me. That's George Carlin. I'd recognize that line anywhere. 8) A couple of things that I've said over the years come to mind... "Shut the fuck up! Go the fuck home! GET THE F...

"I'm Batman" My brothers and I still make references to the Batman one Aww, you beat me to it. Love that commercial. Me and my bro also quote it to this day. Everyone else looks at us like we're nuts. The Adidas Terry Tate campaign mentioned a few pages ago is also a personal fav. This th...

Re: Enjoying bad movies

Anyone ever see "They Live"? That was awesomely terrible. Roddy Piper played the lead. That by itself speaks volumes. My favorite scene in the movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqKFadyJxwg He really wanted to see Keith David in those sunglasses. "Conan the Barbarian" was anot...

Re: Song for your funeral?

i've thought that Flogging Molly's If I Ever Leave This World Alive would be cool. Great song. I've had this conversation several times over the years with different people. My selections change each time. Personally, at the moment, I'd want "Down in a Hole" by Alice in Chains if buried a...

Re: Punk Rock

I'm not going to get into the genre debate. Defining musical genres is tricky. Classifying bands as a whole is even trickier. Do you base it off of their entire discography? Just one album? One song? The music? The lyrics? The instrumentation? Their personalities? Their philosophy? I disagree with t...

I've been waiting for this for a while now. After playing around with the new interface for a few hours last night I have to say it's a nice improvement. The aesthetic is much cleaner and usable. Everything seems better organized. It's actually easy to find what you're looking for in Marketplace for...

Re: INTRO THREAD THE THIRD

Hello, Forum. I'm currently screwing around on company time so I'll have to make this short lest I am discovered. I've been reading xkcd for the better part of a year. Found it mostly by accident. It was linked on another site I was visiting. Read through the entire archive after sampling some of th...
