Invention for T2 production is a good use for a POS, or possibly cap ship research if you have the isk to set it up.

I used a Caldari POS when I was doing it, mostly since it was slightly cheaper to get the charters and fuel.

I tried setting up a starbase for research and learned a very important lesson when doing so (and it's the only way to learn it properly). POS are not fun to setup and/or maintain. Playing 3.5. We've tried 4e a bit but didn't really enjoy it.

Mostly I'm not sure how they will handle opposing casters, especially once they get to levels 6+ when they can be throwing round big spells and more enemies start to fly etc.

I figured that was the case but it's pretty vague as there aren't many abilities (as far as I'm aware) that specifically care about who the caster is. Would have been nice to have a nice reliable source of area spells to convert to rays, nothing says fun like a ray of fireball with no save.

Personally the only change I'd like to see to ECM is that all it does is break current locks. That strikes me as a really good proposal, except the Blackbird is suddenly a bit less potent solo. Personally the only change I'd like to see to ECM is that all it does is break current locks. So you'd go from about 22s (Normal ECM) or 10s (ECM Drones) of not being able to do anything (figuring in at least 2s lock time) to just having to relock everything. It's a pretty big nerf but it's still ma...
