Some sort of virus which has all the information to make a human but only makes copies of itself when it infects something?

Re: "Science Montage" Discussion

I always imagine it like this. A huge room with an LHC-like machine and guys in white coats. Theres a lot of monitors around showing pointlessly stylized, moving, flashing graphs. They press a button. -Time? -93 seconds -Damn, we're so close. More power *scared looks between colleagues* -But sir... ...

Re: "I Know You're Listening" Discussion

You know I sometimes do the mind-reading thing, but then I remember that somewhere on a deeper level of my mind I'm saying "Hopefully they won't know I'm bluffing, if they are reading my mind," and I think they can hear that. When i thought of that i came up with the rule that they can on...

Re: "I Know You're Listening" Discussion

I do this all the time. I also try to block potential mind readers. I´ll think something like "I know you can read my thoughts". I used to do it a lot when my dad drove me somewhere as a kid. Whenever there was a long silence i´d look at the back of his head and think that just in case hahah

You´re right, thanks. I´ve been in the computer for the last four days, my eyes lost all ability to perceive detail and just sort of wander around.

Re: INTRO THREAD THE THIRD

Ok I was scared of posting here because i think the last reply is from 2007, but the newbie guide said so. Hi, i´m not a bot? I live in Argentina, I´ve been a lurker for a long time, been reading xkcd for even longer and thought it was time to join the forum. I hope this is enough to prove im real. ...
