Re: [SAFESPACE] LGBTIQQA Thread - Queer Support!

Nowadays the diff between bi and pan seems to be more along the lines of bi = attracted to 2+ genders, but possibly in different ways and pan = attracted regardless of gender, i.e. to all genders in the same way. I was worried at first if continuing to use bi discriminates against nb people, but by...

I am one of those people who, if I buy something I love, will definitely get more use out of it and keep it for as long as it lasts. I think the idea is that if you're going to buy something anyway, besides looking at whether a certain model is a good financial investment, you also want to take your...

I have a paper copy of both books but I don't want to part with them. PFSC has always been so close to my heart. John's Twitter was updated two days ago, interestingly enough. I wonder if she (she came out as transgender in one of her Kickstarter updates) is coming back to the interwebs.

How did that affect you emotionally, if at all? I could imagine I would not just brush that off easily. Thanks for sharing btw. Last year I got pregnant and had a miscarriage on Mirena. The only reason I knew about it was because I don't get Shark Week anymore on Mirena, but I bled for 2 weeks and decided to take a pregnancy test just in case. I was shocked when it came up positive. It's something like a 1 in 1000 chance per...

This article from the American Psychological Association reiterates a lot of the things I was saying, including how diagnosis impacts schools and their funding and evaluation, how diagnoses are made too quickly, and how there's limited funding for a full diagnostic evaluation.

Another major issue here is the fact that in schools, kids can't qualify for special education services without a diagnosis (this is changing, but it's not happening everywhere yet). Try setting SMART goals. Specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-oriented. "I want to learn to cook" is none of those things. "I want to learn to cook 8 simple meals by taking an 8-week introductory cooking class" would work. Or "I want to try making one new re...
