Re: Dubsteppin'

Chill dubstep is where its at.. Clubroot, Phaeleh, some of Submerse, Boxcutter, and Burial. For more upbeat stuff, i mainly listen to Heyoka, Feed Me, and Pretty Lights.. All 3 of them kinda take their own unique look at making heavy/dancable dubstep, which is pretty awesome. I also make my own, occ...

Set theory question

Say, if using set theory, I had a finite set called A with a range of values from 1 to n, arranged from smallest to greatest. How would I go about writing down the 'the 1st/2nd/3rd value from set A' without specifically defining what these values would be in the notation? Is this possible?

1g per kg is pretty low. I try to get at least 1g per lb, which is about 2.2g per kg. As far as I'm aware, this is one place where a biased industry has got it right- That much protein is pretty important. Protein powder is just another way of getting more protein in you - I don't really buy them, l...

Re: 6-pack

Squats etc. seem to work my abs pretty hard. It's different from the sort of work they do in, say, crunches; their job is isometric. Are you consciously contracting your abs and back? They play a more active role in the press: they contribute to 'getting under the bar', and keep you from laying bac...

Just saying, squats and deadlifts don't really work my abs.. Then again my abs are pretty strong, so maybe my deadlift and squat just need raising before they start working them.

I'm a teenager, so mine might vary from yours. Its more just a way of showing how affectionate you are for someone.. Most people get an x, or xx. If they are a good friend they get xxx. If it is someone I am after, they get 4 or 5 (obviously only if its reciprocal). Most people do it my age, so you ...

Bench presses, along with squats and deadlifts, make up the fundamentals of strength training. If you do no other lifts, do those three, imo. "Strong Enough" by Mark Rippetoe is a great book on barbell training, and makes up the majority of my own sort of 'fitness bible'. I would link it ...

Pretty stupid for beginners. This guy is clearly an advanced lifter, he's front-squatting 450. I don't really get your point there. There is hardly any arms work in the program (if you do 4 or less days, there is pretty much no time for direct arm work), and Jamie Lewis (the guy who wrote the program) generally doesn't care what any other guy in the gym looks like. I agree you could hurt your...

military press went from 35kg to 50kg, bench and deadlift have been stalled for ages, at about 65kg and 110kg, and squat went from 55kg to about 75kg. Not great lifts, I know.

This includes from sources like whey and soy, use this to bring your total protein intake up to 2.0-2.5:1 in grams:kg. Ok I'm not really sure what you mean here, by h...
