Re: The Lord of the Rings Online

Re: Combat, I don't have that problem with the Warden. The warden is designed to, as you put it, Aragorn into a lot of mobs at once. I frequently engage 10+ creatures - and my kinmates despair when I run them through Fornost and the like. Against at-level creatures, I do equally well fighting ten as...

I still play this too! I'm still a lifetime founder, playing on Landroval. I'm a level 91 Warden at the moment, on the verge of hitting level cap in the first time. Ever. Kinda frightening.

There's a reason I don't play EvE on my laptop that much. Certainly not for fleets. It's not anything to do with *running* it - 1080p on max settings - but to do with actually playing it - I don't have a second monitor for web browsing (I swear, if my second monitor *could* burn in images, the chrom...

When no one else is armed, a silenced SMG, professional grade, without any police records of its existence? If you can't think of any uses for that, well... That doesn't seem particularly worth it for the customer. Is there something missing here? Why would anyone pay 15,000 dollars for a gun? You can rest on the surface, but it requires more downward force than is provided by gravity. This is at the equator. It is possible to land untethered and unthrusted at the poles.

I picked up the Eternal Bargain box, personally. I haven't played any games with it yet - a friend also picked up a box, and I've got a couple cards to sub into my deck before I start playing him. I think it's going to be awesome... even if it's even more money to spend.

Re: Magic : The Gathering : The Thread : The Rename

So I built a mill deck and played it at FNM. It was... interesting. Most decks are a bit too fast. I was almost pure mill, though I've changed it to give me some more control over what they've got on the field. I pulled some things I thought might be useful (tome scour, for example) to add in things...

Probably because no matter what happens with Fanatic of Mogis, if you can summon him, you can win the game without the damage, or you'll lose it regardless of the damage. Great card on paper, terrible in practice. (Or such is my opinion, at least, echoed by non-pros at my local FNM)

Two seperate games I could have won if I had been on top of myself, both of which would have led to match wins... both times I spaced using counters. On my to-do list is to build a monored aggro so I don't have to think about counters, I just blast things and summon cheap shit. And I don't have to r...

As a total amateur, I have really liked R/B with a lot of counters and direct damage instants with a couple Guttersnipes and Pyromancer's gauntlets, and a handful of creatures.

But that's me, Mr. Started Three Weeks Ago.

For criminals: yes, better enforcement of existing laws. Which my proposal addresses. You want to actually thrust whatever amount you need to with the centerpoint, timewise, of the thrust at the center of the earth. If you just dropped it in, you'd stop at the same altitude on the other side of the earth. This is ignoring the fact that if we can dig a hole straight through the earth ...

I don't understand this. Geostationary satellites orbit at the same speed the earth revolves. So if you launch one of them, why would you need to gain any speed in addition to the speed you already have from being on the surface of the earth? Well. Basically, rotating the same number of rotations i...
