Re: Staying awake (split from Rules)

Well, if I remember correctly from psyc 101, the first 1h30 is straight deep sleep which will give you a majority of your physical energy, while REM-sleep will mainly cover your mental health. Re: Staying awake (split from Rules)

Music and coffee. I don't sleep a lot - far too much to do. Last week I had a 100-hour awake stretch and got maybe five hours of sleep that week, and I can function reasonably well on that much now.

It gets easier as you get used to it.

Re: Python tutorial for a 14 year old.

The one I learned Python from (I was 13-14) was A Byte of Python. It's a very good introduction. Also, never forget the value of the documentation - it's not enough to learn the language from if it's your first one, but it's an excellent reference.

That isn't what I was saying at all. I was just clarifying on Blacksail's point about frontal lobe development. Gellert seemed to have confused less rational with completely irrational. I made absolutely no suggestion that this makes it OK to stripsearch teenagers or any other group of people again...

I'm not claiming amazing intelligence, realizing your own mortality is easy, False. There have been lots of studies on brain development, and it isn't until your 20's that people begin to realize they are mortal and start to shed their 'invincibility' mode of thought.
