Re: "Disaster Voyeurism" Discussion

Whenever I see pictures of houses perched at the edge of steep receding ocean shore or along an obvious fault line, especially if it is a big expensive looking house, I always root for the house to loose the battle. Why shouldn't your house fall into the ocean? Your the idiot that decided he just h...

George Carlin

This thread needs some George Carlin. I have absolutely no sympathy for human beings whatsoever. None. And no matter what kind of problem humans are facing, whether it's natural or man-made, I always hope it gets worse. Don't you? Don't you? Don't you have a part of you, a part of you that secretly ...

Poor chap tried to apply math to the real world. I like panel 4. Holding the door closed... just what happened out there?

Nothing about high school made sense. http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.com/2008/03/06/83-bad-memories-of-high-school/ Does the blog author think that non-white people somehow have it easier in high school? I just remember it sucking no matter your genetic composition. I realize you're probably just tryi...

Re: "CNR" Discussion

Panel 2 is fantastic. It reminds me of a competition from high school we referred to as "emotionless sex" - two people stand close together making sexual noises and comments, and whoever smiles/laughs first loses. There's just something funny about the notion of people having sex without t...

Careful with that coat, Randall... you're coming dangerously close to drawing non-stick people.

Mmmm, non-stick people... you can use them for cooking.

Re: "Parking" Discussion

I've always wished that giant chain saws would randomly emerge from the ground under those painted strips randomly and carve up cars parked across the lines. I've often wished my parking garage functioned more like the first challenge guarding the Holy Grail. Big circular saws in the ground and wal...

Hmm... I've always used "flipping a bitch" to refer to making a (usually illegal) u-turn.

Isn't it possible that some people deserved their bonuses? Suppose Company X's beancounters predict that, in a shitty economy (and due to their own bad decisions), Company X will lose $50 million in the next quarter. They then hire Joe Consultant, and agree to pay him $100k extra if he can save them...
