Re: 1015: "Kerning"

80/100. I'm now wondering what average is and if this is better than that (probably not).

100/100 was actually pretty lenient for a perfect score.

Re: 1008: “Suckville”

When I came to the forums, for the longest time there wasn't any thread about it. My life felt so empty.

What card game do you suppose that is?

Re: 0825: "Guest Week: Jeffrey Rowland (Overcompensating)"

So right now, I'm reading it as though the hat guy responded about five minute late to the Thanksgiving theory.

Or is there some kind of analogy that can be drawn between the dark matter hypothesis and turkeys?

Either way, I didn't like this guest strip nearly as much as the others.

I really like the idea of tapping into the power of spammers and using it for good. Two (or is it three?) birds with one stone!

I wonder what the threshold to be considered a "total" douchebag would be.

Also, are there other degrees? Semi-, mostly-, 2/7 of a cheat and liar?

Re: "Password Reuse" Discussion (#792)

I've actually worried about this before, since I sign up for a lot of ...things (forums, games, websites, etc), of varying security. My end solution was one password for anything I didn't care too much about (games, mostly. Also some social network stuff) and a unique password for each important sit...

Title text makes this comic.

And yeah, the first thing I thought of when I saw "parenting." was that strip.

Re: iPhone or Droid

Shouldn't the thread title have "Discussion" in it?

Anyways, Blackberry ftw? Although all I have is the Blackberry Flip, so I don't really have an opinion in terms of smartphones.

Am I the only one who read "Unwind" by Neal Shusterman? (Probably). http://www.amazon.com/Unwind-Neal-Shusterman/dp/1416912045 if you want a summary Anyways, the question posed is eerily similar to the debate in the book. Are you still alive if your entire body is split up and redistribute...

Re: Logs, Radians and Trig Functions

The reason radians work nicely is that it's a measurement of the length of the arc defined by the angle, in a unit circle (radius = 1). ie: it's derived from geometry, it isn't an abritrary (oooh, let's say.... 360!) value. Well, its still arbitrary. We could just as easily define a 1pi radians to ...

In english, another meaning for derivative is something like "based on what has come before; unoriginal".
