I feel like when you admit that, you're destroying the whole argument of having a relationship with a character at all. You might as well talk about your relationship with the portal gun, and how it fires portals that lets you solve puzzles. Or maybe your relationship with the jump button in a platf...

Re: Starcraft 2 : The Dune II Clone

The real issue here is that protoss lacks good anti-air options: Stalkers suck (damage output of a non-stim marine for 2.5 times the minerals, and a converted cost (3 gas:1 mineral) of 5.5x the cost of a marine), and even toughness wise they don't beat marines cost-for-cost (at converted cost, they...

I'd be the first person to suggest that a relationship is based upon what the individual gets out of it. Both of you agreed with some of my points at least, and thus that makes me subconsciously like you both a little more. That's pretty basic. Games are a little different, though. Deep down I know ...

I'm going to have to criticize the series a bit. I'd love to shower you with praise for all the work you're doing, but I can't. I hope you don't mind. I had another fun run through an observer metalopolis. I had a guy try to mothership rush me, then a few ZvZs where I did a nice hydra timing attack in one of them, and ended with the trademark mass queen play. There were a few other games in between but they weren't as memorable. I guess they're go...

It's not just about the timing, it's about needing to put 350 gas into starport+tech lab+raven before being able to move out, even if I have no plan to use starport units in my push. And then you have a raven to protect, which has really bad spells and isn't cloaked like an observer. It's not diffi...

Personally, I don't know that I can fully agree that X-COM aged well. It's still neat, but if you just picked it up now, it's hard to get into. I feel like it has to be a caster/utility unit of some sort. It would be a very boring design to be a direct attacking unit, unless the perspective of the silhouette is misleading or it transforms in some way (arms opening). A bombing ship would either be overpowered in pvz or underpowered in pvt, s...

Not that I even want this change to happen, but for argument's sake: It would require more money up front When I build corruptors, I gauge my gas income so that all of them can morph as soon as they finish. Not having anti-air would be meaningful if the direct necessary precursor to brood lords didn't happen to be Zerg's premium anti-air unit.
