"Bel-Air"

Is anyone else slightly bothered by the fact that "Adele for ya" doesn't even rhyme with "Philadelphia"? Maybe he wasn't going to say Philadelphia, I guess.

Re: 0852: "Local g"

The last three panels were unnecessary. He could've proposed moving to New Orleans or something for a stronger punchline effect.

Re: "Woodpecker" Discussion

I once had an affair with a ladybug. She landed on my glasses and stayed there with me while we went for a long walk. I wonder where she is now.

(I hope she didn't encounter this woodpecker.)

Re: "Extrapolating" discussion

So, does the line imply interpolation? Did she have half a husband at any point? Is a fiance half a husband? Was her boyfriend not quite a man? I guess since it goes "yesterday" and "today" there may not be any actual room for interpolation, unless there's some instant between th...

That would result in a lot of confusion with microhertz, μHz, especially since it's commonly typed as uHz by people too lazy to figure out how to type μ.

Hmm, didn't consider that. Capital U? UHz

Re: "CNR" Discussion

Actually, I didn't find this one very funny. It's like Munroe once read CNR and thought 'Hah! What if 'reproduce' was interpreted another way?' and then working his way backwards came up with the comic. It just feels a little forced and contrived, like making a whole joke out of something that isn't...

Re: "Together" discussion

I don't think he's making the claim that this IS happiness or that it's the only way to happiness, just that it's a traditional, almost archetypal definition of happiness that people can recognize. If it was a whole scene of a guy spending his whole life to feed ducks, you might not get that that wa...

I didn't really like the comic today because I feel that this kind of theme/joke has been played out.
