Shout out to Gloria, 1986.

During Bob, I was on vacation in Maine, but we were inland enough that it wasn't too bad. During Gloria, I was at home in Boston; we lost power for almost a week, and I remember having to cook on a propane camp stove.

I haven't had any problem with Audible yet. I canceled my subscription some time ago, but I can still sign in and get access to the stuff I had bought. And the files play fine on my computer, my iPod, my PalmPilot, and now my Zune. Of course this is anecdotal, and I still agree that Audible's DRM is...

I wish my schedule was flexible enough that I could do a 28 hour day. But alas, I remain exhausted every morning, and in bed half of the weekend. (though I think 18/10 would suit me better some days than 20/8 )

By the the time I got to "rotary supercollider" I was definitely laughing out loud. Then I read the alt text and I just lost it, it's just so very very true. I drive in and out of Boston almost every day, and some roads change literally every week. It's always a new adventure.
