Python finding the Windows 7 Audio Volume Level

I'm trying to get access to the Windows 7 system volume level. I can turn down the volume with "win32api.keybd_event(0xAE, 0, 1, 0)" with the win32api module because that's just a keyboard volume down press, but I can't find any module or anything that will allow me to see what the volume ...

Re: SOPA talk, yo.

I watched the SOPA markup, and I compiled together some of the most important moments for people who aren’t closely following it. I made three versions of the video. The full video. The shortened version. And the serious version with some clips removed and no music. SOPA Toppa Freedom Fighters: http...

Re: SOPA talk, yo.

I'm trying to find a video of the politicians who are FOR the SOPA. I tried looking everywhere and everything I find are videos who are against it and nothing for it. I'm really interested to see what they are saying, and I'm thinking of making a video to put on YouTube that shows the pro-SOPA as cr...

I'm looking for sample text in multiple languages ~1 MB each

I'm working on a simple program that compares text to the ones found in the sample database to try to figure out what language it most likely is. The small problem is that I need to know what's a good sample size (I'm thinking around 1 MB) and where is a good place to find them? The samples should b...

Re: I need help downloading a dynamic image in Python

When you load the page in Python, you don't automatically grab all the connected resources along with it. When you've got the page, just save the URL when you save the number, and then retrieve that URL for the image. I think you're right. I looked at the code I was using and it was grabbing an odd...

I need help downloading a dynamic image in Python

Let's say the website has this code: http://www.hypergurl.com/randomimage.html What it does is each time you load the page the script generates a random number and loads the appropriate image. Let's just say that the image is an image of that number and this website displays this random number in te...

Re: I'm trying to download a Captcha image in Python

I still don't understand what you mean by "first loaded". The image doesn't change while the page is up. You load the page, a script runs that does an XHR to get the relevant data, and then builds the challenge out of that. The problem I run into is saving the image from the captcha site ...

Re: I'm trying to download a Captcha image in Python

The challenge will change every time you load the page. That's just how it works - the server purposely sends a different image address every time. There is no "base image" that doesn't change. I know that, but I was asking how do save the image from the page that is first loaded. Either ...
