Re: 1155: "Kolmogorov Directions"

Wouldn't the most efficient Kolmogorov directions be "take a random turn at every intersection until you reach your destination"? Seems to me you would theoretically reach your destination eventually, though in actuality you would run out of gas, die, and decompose long before that happene...

If access to this technology were readily available, it would have the potential of raising issues similar to the encryption and file sharing controversies of the past. Consider lockpicks, of which possession by unlicensed persons is prohibited in most jurisdictions. Would this also make having CAD...

That's the problem with humans having this so-called "higher-level intelligence". We try to control everything, but we're never satisfied by it. Cats don't seem to care much about anything. They don't have much control over any technology, but most of them seem pretty satisfied with life.

Yes, I too can definitely relate to this one. When walking along a reservoir dam, I imagine myself letting go of my phone and dropping it over the side, staring at it as for a few seconds it falls away from me, then collides spectacularly with the concrete wall - I'm constantly a split second away ...

That was a bit of a disappointment. But Randall was probably in a hurry to not be even more late. The funniest part of this one was the your mom joke. No real punchline =(

But it's still better than I could do =D

I'd use it to pull pranks on people. Put one portal under various objects in your friends house. IE his TV. Then, after he's been watching TV for a while, open up the other end of the portal somewhere else, and watch how he reacts when his TV just disappears :D You could also make things "botto...
