Re: "HDTV" Discussion

tune into a soap opera sometime for a good example
because its shot on a 30 fps video it looks strangely different. More realistic, yes, but also unsettling (at least in my opinion)
this is where the term "soap-opera effect" comes from to describe the video-like quality of higher frame rates

Some comedian had a funny joke about naming children after their place of conception and how then his daughter's name would be Promesha.

Re: Guess Who?

I play Guess Who with the added rule that you can never repeat the same question twice, even from game to game. So this forces you pretty quickly to get creative and look for obscure differences between the characters, which makes the game a lot more interesting than it would be otherwise.

Re: fly droppings

I think Macbi's 7/8 for the sphere is correct. Extending what we figured out from the pizza, the first three droppings should be on average 90 degrees away from each other. The space opposite these points that would result in a meatball unable to be cut in half would then be on average 1/8 of t...

SuperTD lying means atleast one if not more remaining scum (I think we've killed 2 or 3 now) were on the "I am town" bandwagon of yesterday. All I was saying is that this is not necessarily true. It seemed like BXM was trying to shift the suspicion to other people who had claimed town yes...

But if there was somebody else besides amberrock we wanted to kill it would probably be easier to just use the vigkill on the second person because there is already a bandwagon going against amberrock. So i think we should lynch amberrock, but give time for people to do pro-town actions (like the vi...

But that still wouldn't guarantee that multiple mafias claimed town together. I just don't think we should think people are more likely to be mafia just because they were part of that group that claimed town. The best idea right now seems to be to lynch amberrock because at the very least he isn't d...

I don't like the bandwagons against Entropy and BXM. Although it is possible that they could be scummy, it is also highly likely that they are helpful to the town (BXM as a vigilante and Entropy b/c without him we lose the knight dedalus who has already killed a mafia for us). And amberrock seems to...

Well mpolo is the only role we know for sure, but we do not know what the trigger word was for his description (suicidal A+), because that was the first Computron message and the trigger was not given. I do not think that BXM is the jester. First off, he was the first person after that first Computron message to suggest that it is referring to a jester. He would have no reason to out himself when he was close to being lynched and winning (assuming he was jester). Then dedalus suggested BXM as jest...

I don't think we should assume that b.i.o. losing his vote is anything logical, like the result of somebody's ability or something like that.

So for every one unit the bananas travel, you lose 3 bananas. As long as you have over 2000 bananas to move, ...
