Re: Covers That Are Better Than The Originals

I'm going to have to go with Killswitch Engage's cover of Holy Diver. It is amazing.

30 Seconds to Mars, if you're looking for mainstream.

Gentlemen and Scholars, if you're looking for indie.

The World We Knew if you're looking for screamo.

just google them . . .

Re: Download Speed

I'm assuming the numbers here are the speeds? And you're on one of the lower plans? The 512K plan in particular? Then that sounds pretty normal. Note that the plan's "512kbps" will be kilobits per second, but the throughput measured by programs on your computer will probably be in kilo by...

Re: Is Uncyclopedia better than Encyclopaedia Dramatica?

I personally prefer each for their own things. ED has better and more stuff on memes and the like, but Uncyclopedia is generally funnier, and more comedic. (See: George Dubya Bush and Dick Cheaney pages on Uncyclopedia). If I'm looking for facts, it's ED. If I'm looking for a laugh, it's Uncyclopedi...

I really hope that the remakes of Pokemon Gold and Silver Versions (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/HeartGold_and_SoulSilver) are as good as the originals. I'm playing silver version right now. Yeah, I'm cool like that.

Re: Download Speed

Download speed can be a strange term. If you mean that your download speed (test at http://www.speedtest.net/) is 50 kBs, that is really, really bad. But then again, it is satellite internet, not cable. I wouldn't expect anything better than dial up. I added the image from speedtest.net to my origi...

Re: "Cutting Edge" discussion

Uh, Randal, what are you doing in my head? I just got HL2 a few weeks ago ($2 at Good Will and a few hours of some questionabally legal maneuvers involving falsifying a receipt and other such things) and have been playing it non-stop.

Download Speed

First off, sorry if this is in the wrong forum, as I am a self-admitted newbie to echochamber. Now, to my question: I have supposedly high-speed satellite internet (Sit-Co, if anyone cares to look it up). Now, I am quite happy with this service (previously I had a provider called HughesNet; they cap...

Re: What are you readioactive now(and other book related stuff)?

At the moment, I'm reading "V for Vendetta", and "2061: Odyssey 3". Once i finish those, im going to start "Do Androids Dream of Electronic Sheep?"

id highly recommend V for Vendetta, if you're a graphic novel sort of person.
