Glitch (The Game)

So, I searched the forums, and turned up zilch on threads for this awesome game. So, umm, anyone here play it? It seems like a very xkcd-ish game, since it has almost no combat, and the community of people are the nicest game community I've every seen.

Re: Yet again, another laptop thread has emerged

Right now, all the netbooks seems to be atom-based ones(which even pentiums mop the floor with), and though I've been hearing of amd fusion powered ones(which I've heard are waay better) Do you have any basis for that? AMD is NOT magic, contrary to what many in the gaming community (used to) believ...

Yet again, another laptop thread has emerged

So, I'm starting a new thread because my search-fu didn't find any similar thread. I'm thinking of getting a new netbook, and I'm probably going on the budget side of things(aka, the cheapest new netbook you can find). I'm going to be using it for school, and since I have a desktop at home, I just n...

Hey guys, I'm entering what is known here(Singapore) as Junior College, and I am told that I need to get either a TI-84 Plus(Singapore $148) or a T-84 Silver edition($175). So, which of the 2 is better, and is the silver edition worth shelling out a bit more?

Re: HTML5 or Flash?

The loss should be minimal, but it isn't. I wouldn't be complaining if there was an encoder that could do a decent (i'd settle for just not making my eyes bleed, I’m not looking for great quality here) job of transcoding from h.264 to vp8. Until such an encoder exists, is freely available, and is w...

With a tiny amount of know how( ka, the ability to follow the instructions), you can use the google app engine to roll your own proxy for free. From my experience with it, it's fast enough to stream video, which is something i cannot do with any free proxy i can find off the web. The only limitation...

So, there's been lots of debate lately over the whole flash thing, and why everyone should use html5 instead of flash, ect. But a lot of Flash out there in the web (Flash games, animations, ads, ect) are much easier to make in Flash than in html5, because the Flash Ide is super easy to use. So if ev...

I've got to say I'm extremely surprised you get any match at all. The slightest bit of background noise - up to 1 in 2**32* of the microphone's max input level, and you've got a different sample. Hey guys, so i was doing this voice recognition(just for the words 'yes' and 'no') script in pys60(its python 2.5, with a few extra symbian specific modules, iirc) and for a lack of a better idea, i did a byte for byte comparison. But perl isn't really that good for large programs as it is for small "getting stuff done' scripts. Python, on the other hand, is great for small scripts, and not too shabby for large programs. But then, to each his own.

However, version 2 that came out in February is much improved though and provides access to a lot more hardware, particularl...
