For me, nothing beats a Dixon Ticonderoga Black wood pencil. According to the internet, they are made from "reforested quality cedar wood". The eraser is just perfect and the pencil looks awesome.

Why does the antiderivative yield the area under the curve? The example that I'm using to try to figure it out is \int2x . I see that the area from 0 to x is 1/2 * x * 2x which equals x^2 , the antiderivative. Am I on the right track? Can someone please explain this in a non-formal manner? Sorry if ...
