Didn't expect 8 out of 10 suggestions to be WoW related, heh.

Is WoW really so boring that everyone is looking for shortcuts?

Re: Feds go after garage sales of defective products

Wait.. so people do actually collect recalled items? I remember reading something about a barbie doll being recalled and it instantly being worth over 1000$. Think about it, a recall essentially makes them limited edition, as production of that model is stopped and changed, and a lot of them get de...

Re: Feds go after garage sales of defective products

I'm assuming there are exceptions built into the law: Its my understanding that as soon as something is recalled it becomes an instant collectible... And there is nothing wrong with someone collecting dangerous toys, as long as they don't let kids play with them... I'd imagine they would have to be ...

Re: Disney buys Marvel

I have never been impressed with super-hero movies, even marvel's 'hits'... Until the most recent Batmans. If Disney can make marvel come close to that awesomeness, i'll watch. Otherwise, I'll just keep skipping the marvel movies. Note: The most recent batmans were not marvel hits, But they were sup...

Re: ROTC Student Suspended for asking classmate to remove hijab

Alot being said =). Public schools (not private) must not unnecessary infringe on the constitutional rights of their students. Students' rights are extremely limited. We just got the right to not be molested on the books this year. The right to yell at other students is nowhere close to arguable at ...

Re: Women in CS

Most of the women I know in CS (My mother and best friend are two) are Math converts. That is, they got a Math degree, and then either got a CS degree in addition or just went into the CS industry. I can tell you from my experience in SWE (Yes, guys can join SWE. And more should. The idea of working...

I just started (re) reading Elvenbane. Last time I read it I didn't have access to the sequels, now I do. Anyone read the series before?

Re: ROTC Student Suspended for asking classmate to remove hijab

Well, students (young adults in general) do not have all the rights of adults. And the constitutional rights that the court was talking about have a pretty hard limit. The school can't crack down on one form of speech because they don't like it. However, if its disturbing classes, interferes with th...

Re: ROTC Student Suspended for asking classmate to remove hijab

I'm not sure how people get from "Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech" to "No one may be discriminated against on the basis of what they say". I may agree that people should be allowed to say what ever they want but I also think that any organisation shoul...

Re: How often do you shower or bathe?

When I was young, I showed about once a week. That stopped when I grew started stinking under the armpits.. I was force to do daily shows by my mother. Haven't stopped. I generally take extra showers after swimming of if I feel particularly grimy. If i'm in a rush I occasionally go without a shower ...
