Re: Alternating 9P Mafia - D4 - Curiouser ...

I see what you mean about Mathilda's active-lurkiness. Carlington posted more reads, although his reads were wrong (specifically, he voted fro Esthr) but I don't like that Mathilda attacked Esthr without actually voting. As far as the reaction to your catch, I don't think Mathilda's reaction was scu...

Re: Alternating 9P Mafia - D4 - Curiouser ...

I agree NL will do us no good today. I don't have a very good idea of who to vote for. Both of the candidates seem to be mostly done making their cases so I'd like to hear suzaku's opinion. Mine is in a spoiler below in case Suzaku would prefer to write their own thoughts down before worrying about ...

Re: Alternating 9P Mafia - D3 - Air mattress

Given that we're at LYLO, claims don't mean as much as they otherwise would have, so I wouldn't be totally surprised by a counterclaim, but I can confirm that I am both not a cop and town so Suzaku's information is at least consistent with the information I have. Re: Alternating 9P Mafia - D2 - Milla Vanilla

Well, my point a) still stands. If I really thought she was scum I'd want to lynch her but it seems more likely to be a case of scummy-looking new town, point b) was more that it would be a particularly bad mislynch, not that it would be a bad lynch if she was scum. Re: Alternating 9P Mafia - D2 - Milla Vanilla

At this point I would definitely find Esthr scummy but a) she's a new player and therefore harder to predict/more liable to appear scummy no matter the alignment and b) on a meta level, lynching someone new for acting new in a newbie game seems like a not-so-welcoming thing to do. I like Mathilda's ...

Esthr, given how late in the day it was getting and the fact that ajh was a top lynch candidate I don't blame them for claiming. Whether it was strategically sound or not, they're definitely town if no one counterclaims.

Vote: emlightened For doubling down on lynching PRs. If you really think we're much more likely to be lynching scum than a PR you have way more faith in our scumhunting ability than I do. Also unless it's late in the game there's really no downside to letting scum live one night longer because the ...

Sorry I haven't posted yet, last night I was tired and today was super long. Sabrar's analysis is solid. Good game everyone! I'm a little disappointed that town lost since I was mostly trying to play as them while I was alive but oh well. Playing a serial killer was fun--I got some of the advantages of being scum (more control over the game, more knowledge than a townie, etc) and also the major advanta...

Ok if you're town that actually makes sense, a one shot power could be more useful than a vote in a lot of cases and you'll still be able to post. You could just as easily be scum with the same role but if you do flip scum then you wouldn't be able to give powers exclusively to your teammates withou...

I honestly don't know how to respond to that. I remember you used to have Vytron's icon--did you absorb some of their mafia strategy along with that? I don't know what the deal is with SirGabriel and me. We're not masons or anything and if they were a cop I wouldn't expect them to hint at it like that. Also don't understand why SirG would prefer lynching themselves over moody, even if they see a moody lynch as a no lynch, which it isn't exactly a...

If I was a doctor or other poison-curer, I would not save moody. Pretty much everyone wants him dead and the poison is an opportunity to have him dead by semi-vig kill rather than waste a lynch. If moody is alive tomorrow I would want to lynch him then anyway because I don't want to deal with the po...

I'm not Mr Potato Head. An extension for christmas would definitely be helpful. Mpolo's claim provides a helpful explanation for why cf died last night so in that sense I'm inclined to believe it for now. This is sorta playing against the role of a town player. The goal is to vote for the person you find the most scummy. Bandwagonning is generally a scummy tactic. This makes you one of the scummiest players currently, and gets to be more detrimental to town as the game goes on. That would be true if...
