Re: 1049: "Bookshelf"

All I can think is that if "therefore, be a huge asshole to everyone" represents 10% of each sentence then she probably has a problem with run-on sentences.

Re: 1037(?): Umwelt

I'm on OS X 10.6.8 Using Chrome I get the same as Jim. Using Firefox I get the snake one (which goes through a portal if the picture is big enough). In Safari and Opera no image displays.
Does anybody know enough to look through the page source and see what's happening?

This is well worth listening to:

I never really disliked the song that much but I'm rather disturbed by all the wiggling in the music video... I do enjoy that Ron Jeremy is in it though.

Re: 0985: "Percentage Points"

Dang. I don't feel so smart now. It wasn't until I read the text at the bottom that the truth occurred to me.
A quick search seems to indicate that Senator Grayton isn't really real? I wish he was, life would be a lot more interesting with politicians like him.

I didn't get it until I read this... Thanks for pointing that out, it definitely adds something to the comic.

Re: 0852: "Local g"

This spelling error bothers me greatly. Other than that amusing comic, that wasn't what I pictured when the first frame was talking about gravity math.

Boy it must suck to be someone like Randall and have such a nitpicky fanbase.

That is exactly what my 11th grade physics teacher does now! Apparently spiders are 30kg and bees are 35kg...

In addition to that question, is the 5 second delay ONLY if they fire continuously for 5 seconds, or is it any time it accumulates 5 seconds of firing time there need to be a one second, no fire, delay? The delay is only after firing for 5 seconds in a row. You could have the rockets on for 4.9s, o...

I'm not american but I would call it a boler. However upon looking that up it seems to be a brand name that is based around my location.

Physics Question

Heres a physics question I got in class a while ago. The only way I know how to do it is trial and error so I figured it would be easier to ask here. A rocket is hovering at 1000m and needs to reach the ground. It can't hit the ground at a speed faster than 5m/s. Gravity is 10m/s 2 (I realize this i...
