Re: What-If 0152: "Flood Death Valley"

Re: 1605: "DNA"

Lets see what happens when you semi-randomly take code from one website and shove it into the coding of another website. Probably nothing helpful. That's like half of what passes for professional web design these days. LOL Touché. Plus, we've nearly killed the world with it once already that I know...

Re: 1605: "DNA"

This is why I find people who trust GMOs to be sad. 'But it's just like selective breeding,' they whine. No, no it is not. For the same reason that a cabinet is not a bonsai. Lets see what happens when you semi-randomly take code from one website and shove it into the coding of another website. Prob...

Re: 1604: "Snakes"

Chutes and adders: The most depressing board game ever. Apologies if this is obvious, but the original game name was "Snakes and Ladders," so you've managed an excellent spoonpunerism there. I spent like five minutes deciding whether "chutes" over "snakes" improved the...

Re: 1578: Squirrelphone

This seems like the kind of thing that would happen all the time in, like, Night Vale or somewhere. There would be regular PSAs to remind the locals to avoid squirrelphones and everything.

@leahjuu: Me neither, and I have no plan to learn, so I did indeed choose terrible

Re: 1572: "xkcd Survey"

I couldn't think of any words I always misspell on the first try off the top of my head. That sort of familiarity would hopefully prevent me from misspelling them! I scrolled through a long list of difficult-to-spell words and picked one that I thought I knew but would've spelled wrong on every try...

Re: 1538: "Lyrics"

I'm actually pretty good with lyrics, mostly. Probably because I'm a poetry buff and the rest of the music is secondary to me.

ETA: That song about Buddy Holly is actually called "American Pie," and is possibly the most metaphor-dense anything ever.

Re: What-If 0126: "Stairs"

I loved the House of Leaves reference. And the significance is that someone in the old days found a staircase where the house was later built--there used to be a S that looked like F, you know.
