Strategy? I post pictures, flicky says "birb" if it's a picture of a bird or "..." if it's not, everyone else just sort of chats and if flicky spots the notification from his python script that I've just come back to the thread he posts "*plop*" again.

For a country renowned for their engineering prowess they definitely slacked-off designing their pillows (a prime target for out-sourcing!). Maybe Germans are able to dedicate more time to refine their roads, expand train systems, and stream-line factories because they sleep less than the rest of w...

Re: The Darker Side of the News

There are multiple systems. Some have a radar truck and a launcher truck at separate sites, the radar finding and "painting" the targets and the missiles heading for the reflected signal. Some separate the detection and designation radars. Some put everything on a single vehicle. Some put ...

Re: The Darker Side of the News

The leader of the Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, apologised on Wednesday for causing “concern and anxiety” by hosting a 2010 event at which another speaker was reported by a newspaper to have compared Israeli policy to Nazi policies. The Times newspaper reported that Corbyn hosted a Holocaust Memoria...

When you go from 9 tiles to 64, there's a huge leap, but going from 64 to tens of thousands isn't as big a jump. That depends how big a tile is. From street-to-street and farm-to-farm to taking a large town is more of a shift in tactics than a move to strategy, but at the level where you're decidin...

Similarly flat and wet piece of landscape, though.

Anaheim's 43 m, Paris is around 120m, Orlando's 9m and that lake's 150m, so of the four of them the one with the real castle's at least risk from rising sea levels.

So, we've got two sets of numbers here: 1. The number of people killed in the disaster itself 2. The total number of deaths caused by the disaster: #1 plus the number who died in the aftermath Trump is boasting that #1 is low? But surely that makes him look more incompetent. That's more people who ...

Time for the press secretary to point out that everything he tweeted was absolutely true, as long as you understand the context of each thing he said and don't go lumping them all together. 3000 people in Wyoming did not die in the two hurricanes that hit Puerto Rico. The exception would be lobbying, in which you spent a few hundred pounds on taking an MP to an expensive restaurant for lunch and get a multi-billion-pound contract in return. That may "only" translate to tens of millions in profit, but it's a heck of a return on lunch.
